Our journeys start, and with a twist and a turn, a question and a decision, a mistake and a victory, they continue to unfold. This new website is a new turn for me after the year and a half pandemic we have all experienced. I don't know about you, but there were times when I could not help but wonder who would be next to be overtaken by the virus. As many of you may have done, I felt a necessary compulsion to update my will, which I should probably do more frequently just out of common good sense. And along with that, in would creep a sense of insecurity about continuing any effort to change and update things like my websites, etc. Fortunately, those were fleeting, well, maybe trudging thoughts, and I would revive to my optimistic self and start painting like there were plenty of tomorrows and opportunities ahead. I painted so many roses trying to learn a new painterly technique that I ended up turning the bad ones into collages which have become quite the popular item, filled with color and texture by the sheer act of tearing and gluing. I was thinking that if I could just get to the vaccine then I might have a good chance, and when that day came and then the next vaccine was also available, I began to believe that if more and more of us could get vaccinated, we might have a chance to claim survival from this deadly enemy unlike many of us have ever experienced. We who live to share this story can give honor and memory to those who have not. It was so unheard of and unexpected by those who were not following the deeper science, even the older people in the country could only stop and wonder how it had been for their grandparents in the pandemic of 1918. Who knew?! But as I gain hope from the increasing measures being taken to keep the world a safer place and despair from the many still suffering, I turn a new corner, and am just beginning this new website, and I hope to have it up and running really soon. There will be art journals, artworks, classes, events, and more fun and creative activities for anyone who wants to experience the joy of art. Please come back and visit often.
